So many of our wonderful students received their first library card. We are so thankful for Ms. Julee and the amazing staff at GCPL for all the work they do. Third grade students get to check out books and visit the library once a month, it is an awesome experience!

This week, the first graders have been reading the books Creepy Carrots, Creepy Pair of Underwear, and Creepy Crayon by Aaron Reynolds. Each day they listened to the story getting read by the author and they have enjoyed it SO much. They have been writing using an adjective to describe the creepy carrots, if they would want a creepy pair of underwear, and what object they would turn creepy and what their book would be called. They also learned and filled out a Venn Diagram comparing and contrasting Creepy Carrots and Creepy Pair of Underwear. The students have also completed a craft activity where they got to make Jasper Rabbit in a creepy pair of underwear as well. It was a fun week and the students really had a blast!

Thank you Chief Balog for organizing the judges and the prizes.
Our Event does open at noon. Hay rides, lunch, inflatables, raffles, and story hour are just a couple of activities you can take part in during your time at the fest, especially if you are waiting for Trunk or Treat to open.
We are still looking for families to decorate a trunk. Remember admission to the event is free for your family if you host a trunk. Otherwise, admission is $5 per person or $25 per family.
