No School - May 26, 2025

Greetings Brookwood Families!
We are excited to once again offer our school supply program, Brookwood Bundles. The teachers have thoughtfully prepared a school supply list for the 2025-2026 school year, and we are pleased to offer an opportunity to purchase these supplies right here from your school!
The grade level supplies will be gathered into convenient and hassle-free bundles. They will include all of the supplies needed for the school year and will be ready and waiting for your child in their classroom on Open House Night in August. There is no need to brave the busy stores and worry if you’ll find all of the items on the list. Our team will take care of all the details so that you may enjoy your precious summer days!
The end of the school year is fast approaching and schedules are filling up quickly. Please take a moment out of your busy schedule to consider this opportunity. Each bundle purchased will help support our Families in Need school supply program. Thank you for your support! Please see the included link below for a folder with all the grade level forms and school supply lists:

Eighth grade reinforced the concept of momentum learned in science by using Body Bubbles! Displaying acceleration and mass to show different levels of momentum, each tried to remove opponents from the circle. This was a great way to cement the forces and motion phenomena taught this year!

Attention 8th grade families, we are happy to now offer 8th grade graduate lawn signs! Order forms will be going home with students today. Please turn in orders by this Friday.

According to the US Department of Health and Human Services 1 in 5 children ages 3-17 has a mental, emotional or behavioral disorder. Most common are anxiety, depression and ADHD. 50% of lifetime mental health problems start before the age of 14. During the week of Children's Mental Health Awareness, Mrs. Fitzsimmons will be doing two lessons in each grade level (K-3) on what mental health is, coping skills, self care and mental health vs physical health. Much of this is also touched on throughout the year within our classroom guidance program.
Please join us in supporting Children's Mental Health Awareness Day by wearing GREEN on May, 8th 2025.
