We are excited to celebrate 50 days of school with the 50's! We've had a rockin' good year and we hope you will celebrate it with us on November 16th. Dress up in 50's attire! Ex. poodle skirt, leather jackets, black and white shoes,....etc!

The BMS 7th and 8th Grade Literacy Enrichment Class is excited to share with you all their second volume of their Brookwood Bulletin. Students in this class compiled the information, pictures, and collaborated in completing their newsletter. Enjoy!

Show your pump pride!! During the month of November, 2 cents per gallon on pumps 11 and 12 at the Genoa City Mobil will be donated to Genoa City Schools!! Thank you for supporting our schools!!

Our District’s Families in Need Program is designed to help families within our school district who are having difficulty meeting the immediate needs of their children. We are thankful for the Loaves and Fishes Food Pantry for fulfilling food (year round) and toys (for the holidays) for our community. If you are in need of a clothing box for this holiday season for your child or children, please go to the following link to sign up: https://tinyurl.com/42je2as8 If you are interested in supporting our Families in Need Program, there are two ways to do so: 1. You can sign up to “adopt” a child or children. This means you are willing to purchase clothing for each child/children you are adopting. We ask that you please purchase, at minimum, 3-4 tops and 3 bottoms for the child/children you adopt. The overall anticipated cost is $60-90 per child. We will contact you on November 21st regarding the interests and sizing for the child/children you adopt. OR 2. Donate monetarily (our team will make the purchases needed for these families with your monies donated). Veterans Day Assembly will be hosted at Brookwood Middle School. This event is open to the public and we hope you and your family will be in attendance on November 10th at 9:30am at BMS.

Great progress in our district's focus for making sure ALL students are Career, Community and Life Ready! Our Student input team as well as Parent/Community/Business Leader input team met to take our first steps in designing our "Portrait of a Student." On November 17th, the Lake Geneva Symphony Orchestra will be performing for our 5K-5th grade students. In music class, students will be discussing this associated with the orchestra - such as instruments, conducting patterns, and the music that will be played. It is going to be another amazing opportunity for our students and we can't wait to have the Lake Geneva Symphony Orchestra here!!

The 5th grade homerooms played a game of capture the flag to help understand how the American Revolutionary War changed over time.

5th graders have been learning more about our country and its history. They recently learned more about the 13 colonies and had to pick a region of the 13 colonies and make a brochure about their research.

4th graders had a special event today called “Pumpkin Math” where they were hands-on with learning about circumference, diameter, radius, weight and height. These activities helped them understand the spectacular world around us by analyzing and experimenting with different sized pumpkins to learn more about these math ideas! They also worked on guesstimating how many seeds were in the pumpkins while also gutting and counting how many each actually had…..but before cutting into them…students also guessed which pumpkins would float or sink…and to their surprise they all floated…even the 22 pound pumpkin floated!!!!!
