Just in time for World Music Day, third graders continued learning about playing the xylophone during Summer School last week. Each student was able to play their own xylophone and they expanded their knowledge from what we worked on in the spring. They couldn't believe how fast the time went by as they had a lot of fun.

Around the globe, people have been celebrating World Music Day on June 21st since 1982. Here at Brookwood, student are enjoying music classes as they kick off their summer with our FREE summer programming. First and second graders expanded their knowledge of the xylophones as they learned four new songs last week. The time went so fast as we all had a lot of fun singing and playing. There is still room in this week's classes. Call to sign up or contact Kellie Bohn at Kellie.Bohn@gcj2.k12.wi.us

The garden is growing, ready to feed families and we would love your help!
The Brookwood Community Garden supplies our local families with fresh produce. Anyone who spends time helping has access to the bounty all summer! It’s a great way to volunteer time as an outreach project for the community as the excess is sent weekly to the Loaves and Fishes Food Pantry.
We would like to thank our families who have signed up to help!
Please consider signing up for a week which doesn't necessarily involve every day of working...but more of "keeping and harvesting." You might want to consider sharing or splitting a week or two with another family. Your contribution to the community through this project will be much appreciated!
Please know, we would support you in any community service project through scouts, church, 4-H or other organizations to help you with your goal that could be reached through gardening for our community.
Please sign up here or contact MaryEllen Kanthack directly through email MaryEllen.Kanthack@gcj2.k12.wi.us or call 262-279-2279.
