Carie lives in Walworth and was at Reek Elementary School for 12 years. She made the career switch to expand on her Business Manager license. She has two sons: Andrew (20) is at UW Madison for Business, and Owen (24), lives in Milwaukee and works in construction project management. Carie shares her home with Smoky the cat.
She loves to hike, paddleboard, and read fiction & drama. She enjoys live music—Summerfest!—and swing dancing. She’s working toward being able to travel: Ireland, Sweden, and maybe Greece.
She is looking forward to working with the team. Carie stayed in education because, as a teacher, she impacted students, and as a Business Manager, she can impact the district. She loves gardening and does all her own home improvement projects at her house. She is proudly Youtube taught!

Welcome to the Mustang Family! Eddy Ringsby - BES Principal - Genoa City Joint 2 School District
This is Eddy's 24th year in education! That spans teaching, instructional coaching, and literacy & math coaching, as well as being a principal for 6 years. Eddy also has his superintendent license and reading specialist license.
Born in California, his family came out here when he was 3.
Eddy's the oldest, with one younger brother and sister (both in Green Bay) He follows the sports teams in CA, but is also a devoted Packer fan. Football, basketball & soccer are his favorites, and he coaches soccer the most.
Wife, Rachel, is an 8th grade history teacher, and they have 4 boys: Jacob, Hudson, Carter, and Landon. Nala the GoldenDoodle completes their family in Kansasville. They enjoy spending time with family-oftentimes, they go to cool historical sites, but most of their free time is spent around sports. He really enjoys boys' soccer- especially for ages 11-14 because it's when they're learning all the important things.
Eddy has most been looking forward to getting to know everybody: kids, staff, and families!

Eric is WI born & raised and lives in Delavan with his
parents. The Badgers are his favorite college team, and
the Cowboys are his favorite NFL team. Eric is a big
sports fan and he coaches a lot of baseball (currently
12U). He has an older sister (5th grade math teacher),
and Eric never taught before UW Whitewater. He had
other options, but chose the littles because he loves
the energy they bring every day. He enjoys hunting
and fishing with his dad and uncles: ducks & geese,
ice fishing and deep-sea charters. Eric just got his first
black lab puppy (Drake), who’s away for 2 months of bird-dog training.
He enjoys Country music and Country Thunder.
Eric likes comedy movies when he has the time—
especially Kevin Hart. Loves to travel: Mexico,
Jamaica, Grand Cayman Islands, Belize, Honduras,
Dominican Republic, Bahamas & the Caribbean!

The Look at Those Birds group used their bird journals to learn about our state bird (robin) and other birds. They also decorated birdhouses and practiced using binoculars. While forestry watered baby spruce, maple, and swamp white oak trees. The foresters also made a salve from plants in the forest. Students designed their own labels and were excited to try the salve out on their bug bites!

All incoming/returning students (and their families) are welcome to join in on popsicles on the playground with Mr. Ringsby! See you there, Mustangs!
During the "Build-A-Bench" class, students learned hands-on skills to create benches that are now placed at both the Elementary and Middle School.
The benches were built with love and are meant to embody that everyone has a place and everyone is welcome at Brookwood, something Mr. Braden demonstrated every day.
Thank you to Mr. Erickson and Mr. Guth for mentoring students during this special class.
We greatly appreciate Dunn Lumber of Lake Geneva for donating all the building materials for this project. Also, thank you to Jenny Schenider and Balsis Awards for providing the plaque.
When you see the benches, sit with a friend, smile, and talk about how to make it a great day, Mustangs!
