Once you are part of the Brookwood Family....you're always a part of the Brookwood Family. We love being able to share what our Mustangs are doing beyond Brookwood and as they continue to Grow into their Greatness.
Our next alumni of greatness that we are excited to share with you about is Alyssa Adams, who is currently a senior at Badger High School.
Badger recently shared the following post:
Badger High School is excited to share some great news and celebrate several talented students! We have recently received news from the Milwaukee Art Museum that we have 4 Gold Key Winners! In past years, we have typically been lucky to have 1 piece selected for this annual show, but this year we have 4 Golden Key award pieces being exhibited at MAM! …
Alyssa Adams: Gold Key, "The Hangout"
…
Each "Gold Key" recognition will be considered for National Awards and scholarships! The "Gold Key" awarded artwork will be on public display. The Scholastic Art Awards: Wisconsin Exhibition at The Milwaukee Art Museum from January 31 through March 15, 2025. Additionally, ….Alyssa…will be honored at MAM's Awards Day.

We are so #MustangProud of Alyssa and her accomplishment in being a Gold Key Winner. She also just made the semester 1 honor roll and is also very serious about donating blood to help with the national shortage.
Way to go, Alyssa!! Keep up the great work!!

This past December, the GCJ2 Families in Need Program supported more than 60 children by providing essentials such as shirts, pants, socks, hats, mittens, snow gloves, and laundry supplies, and assistance. This meaningful support would not have been possible without the INCREDIBLE generosity of those who donated financially and those who chose to adopt a child—thank you from the bottom of our hearts!
Because of the kindness of our local community, families also received food bags for winter break from Lakeland Community Church, along with Thanksgiving and winter break food bags from Trinity Church -- along with cold-weather items for our Families in Need Program. We are also deeply grateful to The Lost Sock for their thoughtful donation of coupon codes, helping ease the burden for Families in Need who utilize their facility.
Your compassion and generosity make a real difference! Because of YOU, we are able to help these students with a few basic needs to support their daily attendance to school. Thank you for caring for our students and families in such a powerful way!

Join us for an exciting event celebrating imagination and creativity at the GC Public Library. 4K will show off their artwork and have an opportunity to sign up for their own library cards! There is no regular 4K programming on Feb. 25th. For more information, contact your child's 4k teacher. See you at the GC Public Library on 2/25 from 5-6:30pm

Our 4K students had a blast during our Messy Science event! They explored hands-on activities that encouraged curiosity, creativity, and lots of learning through play. Students experimented with different materials, made predictions, and observed what happened as they mixed, poured, scooped, and created. The room was full of excitement as they practiced using their senses, sharing with friends, and trying new things. Everyone did a great job being safe scientists and helping with clean-up when it was time to finish!

Thankful for two days with the LCC K-9 Comfort Dogs for supporting our elementary and middle school during this time of profound loss. The LCC K-9 Comfort Dog Ministry is a national, human-care ministry whose specially trained Golden Retrievers and dedicated handlers serve communities during times of crisis, loss, and stress.
The comfort dogs and their dedicated handlers joined us on very short notice, offering a calm, compassionate presence to students and staff as we navigated grief together. Their gentle interactions provided moments of peace, reassurance, and connection—often when words were difficult to find. For many in our community, these small moments of comfort made a meaningful difference.
We are deeply grateful and thankful for their willingness to walk alongside our school community and provide support with such care and kindness. Their presence left a lasting impact on our students and staff, and we will always be appreciative of the comfort they brought during this difficult time. Truly, these small moments of comfort and care made a significant difference for us.
Thank you....thank you.....thank you!!
