Today, members of our Brookwood PTO came together to help organize and package our Families in Need winter clothing boxes for families within our school district that signed up for them. Thank you to our PTO for taking time out of their day to support this program. We also are thankful for Trinity Church for supporting this program with providing Thanksgiving meal bags during break and mittens and gloves for these winter clothing boxes, Lakeland Community Church for supplying breakfast bags to be included with these winter clothing boxes, and our local laundromat, The Lost Sock, for their support and donation towards our Families in Need Program, and Herner's Hideaway for the travel size toiletry items. A HUGE shoutout to all those that adopted children and donated monetarily. We cannot run this program without your support and donations. Not only does your support help these families for essential items for our students like school supplies and winter clothing items but your monetary donations help these children throughout the year for items that support their needs to get them to school and continue to help them grow into greatness! For more information about this program, please contact Helen Xiong : helen.xiong@gcj2.k12.wi.us

Our 4K Christmas party and concert were full of joy, creativity, and festive fun! Students explored holiday activities including pin art, writing letters to Santa, coloring Christmas pages, building with Christmas pattern blocks, and reading a variety of Christmas stories. They were especially proud to make their own candy cane ornaments to take home.

The highlight of the day was the concert. The students did a wonderful job performing their songs—they sang with confidence and holiday spirit! We are so proud of all their hard work and enthusiasm.

Thank you to our families for supporting this special celebration!

4K & 5K Winter Concert on 12/4 at 5:30pm at BES
There is SO much to be thankful for….our students, families, community…and the list goes on and on….

This Thanksgiving season -- and every season-- the Genoa City Joint 2 School District is truly grateful for our amazing staff and their participation in this year’s annual Pie Wars of BES vs. BMS, with BMS winning this year!

Through our staff’s generosity and community spirit, they donated enough funds to provide 38 pies to the Genoa City Loaves & Fishes Food Pantry—helping support our community during the holiday season. Our staff’s kindness reflects the heart of GCJ2 and the difference we can make when we come together.

We would also like to extend a special thank you to Stinebrink's Lake Geneva Piggly Wiggly for partnering with us and helping make this effort possible. Their support plays a meaningful role in helping us serve our community.

To our staff—thank you for your participation, your generosity, and your ongoing commitment to our district and the community we serve.

We are thankful and #MustangProud! Happy Thanksgiving!

The Genoa City Joint 2 School District presents Miss Flood’s Annual Kindergarten Thanksgiving Cookbook—a collection of carefully crafted, highly imaginative, and occasionally scientifically questionable recipes straight from the minds of our youngest chefs.

Please note: The District cannot be held responsible for any culinary outcomes resulting from these recipes.

As a service project, Mrs. Collins’ advisory collected pop tabs to support the Ronald McDonald House Charities. Ronald McDonald Houses provide a comforting, home-like place for families with children receiving medical care at nearby hospitals. By saving pop tabs, our students helped raise funds through recycling that directly support these programs and keep the Houses running for families in need.

Thank you to all students and families who donated—and a special thank you to the Sponenburg family for contributing to and delivering our collection to RMHC of Eastern Wisconsin!

4K families had a wonderful time at their Camp Out to Reading event! Families gathered together for an evening filled with cozy stories, warm s’mores, and joyful campfire songs. Students snuggled up with their loved ones to listen to favorite books and explore new ones, creating a love of reading in a fun and inviting setting. Everyone enjoyed s'mores, singing classic camp songs, and spending quality time together as a school community. Thank you to all the families who joined us and helped make the night so special!
