We hope you get Brookwood Booked! Our GCJ2 Family Engagement Team is SO excited to share with you our Brookwood Book Bags where our team has filled these special bags with books for YOU. These bags will be dropped off at random Brookwood Family houses and we ask that you and your family pick a book or two to keep to engage in literacy with your child at home. Then in the bag you will find an envelope with window clings in it. Post a window cling on a front window signifying that you've been Brookwood Booked and then pass the bag and clings onto another Brookwood Family's house!! If you aren't sure of a house to drop it off at ---bring it back to either the elementary or middle school and we will get the bag to its next location! If you are the last one to get the bag with a book or two in it...you get a bonus! Keep the bag for yourself!! Thank you for supporting the Family Engagement Team's goal with building relationships and strengthening our connection between the schools and you families to help increase student achievement. The 3rd grade students are learning about producers, consumers, and entrepreneurship by starting their own businesses! What a GREAT night to be a Mustang!! Thanks for all that made tonight possible —-PTO, volunteers, staff, students, parents and our community!!! We had a variety of communtiy groups volunteer like the Genoa City Lions Club and Friends of the Library. Thank you…thank you….thank YOU!
4th grade had a blast at Old World Wisconsin today on their class field trip!! Make sure to ask your 4th grader what their favorite part of the day was.
In 7th and 8th grade Literacy Enrichment, each student submitted at least one haiku or other form of poetry to be published in the 2023 edition of the Young American Poetry Digest. Several students had their poems selected for the book and their poems will be published in the fall. Congrats to Kaylee, Remi, Ben, Callie, Anais, Jillian, Natalie, Peyton, Kate, Diego, Khalil, Audrey, Sophia, Emily, Alyvia, Gavin, and Bailey!
At last night's school board meeting, the school board surprised Mr. Braden with this year's "Children's First Award!"
Nominees for this special Board award have made a positive impact on multiple children within the district, either over time or through a single project. Congrats, Mr. Braden and thank you for all you do for the kids of our district!
At last night's school board meeting, students along with Mrs. Horak and Mrs. Garrett hosted a little mini art show for our parents, Board members, and administration. These students were chosen to move on to be showcased at the Walworth County Arts Exhibition which got cancelled. We are proud to be able to have our students showcase their Greatness at our school board meeting. Way to go, Mustangs---way to make us #MustangProud

Who's excited for Fun Fair? Fun Fair starts at 5 pm at Brookwood Middle School this Friday, May 19th. Didn't pre-order wristbands? That's ok! Walk-up wristbands can be purchased for $15 at the event. Tickets can also be purchased for $1 to attempt to dunk your favorite staff member. Please see the schedule below.
